How to Display Products on the homepage in Magento 2?

Magento 2 supports users to add all product(s) as New on the store or add product from specific category to homepage. The process, however, is not done automatically. Users have to instruct the system to add a widget for the New product to the New category and then to display it on the front page of Magento 2 store. This tutorial will guide you through this process.

Step 1. Login to the back end of your Magento 2 store.

Step 2. From the Admin sidebar, navigate to Content > Pages.

Step 3. Explore the Pages section. Find the Home Page line.

Step 4. From the Home Page line, click on the Select. From the drop down menu, choose Edit.

Step 5. Explore the Home Page working space:

  • Enter the Content Heading.
  • Remove all existing content in the box and click on Insert Widget icon.

Step 6. From the Widget Type list, choose the Catalog Products List.

Step 7. Insert all needed information, define the Conditions and hit the Insert Widget button to insert.

If you want to display product from specific categories, you can change it here, for example if I want to display categories with ID 38, 11 on homepage, the condition should be:

Step 8. Return to the Content page and you will probably see the Products icon in the box. Click Save Page to finish.
