Product Custom Options Configuration in Magento 2 allows your customers to choose among detailed products. An option can be input as text, file, select or date. Since custom options are variations of an SKU, you can manage them in stock.
You are able to set single option for numerous products by importing the existing option to selected item. Product Custom Option is a great way to improve your customer service and attract more customers to your online store.
This tutorial will guide you through the process of creating and importing custom options.
1. Creating Product Custom Options
Login to the back end of your Magento 2 store.
From the Admin sidebar, navigate to Products >Catalog.
Select the product that you want to add options.
In the section of Advanced Settings- Custom options, click the Add New Option button.
Set the Option Title.
From the drop down list of Input Type, choose one type.
Mark the Required box if you find the option necessary.
Click Add New Row.
From here, you can add the Title, Price, select the Price Type and name the SKU for the option.
Allow rearranging the options by hitting the Sort icon.
If you want to continue to add more option, click the Add New Option button.
Click the Save button to finish.
Now you can come back to the product page to check the result.
2. Importing Product Custom Options
From you product list, select the product you want to import options.
Click the Import Options button.
Look up and select the option you want to import to the product.
Hit the Import button.
As finishing the importing process, click Save & Close to save all the process.
